Welcome to Hertford Infant and Nursery School

I would like to welcome you and your child very warmly to Hertford Infant and Nursery School. I am very proud to lead our school. Every child is somebody’s special child and I, along with all of the staff, will always put people first. Here we have an open door policy and have the families at the heart of all that we do; every child has the right to feel special and we, as educators, are the guardians of your child’s self-esteem, in partnership with you, it really is an honour and a privilege.

I passionately believe that if children have an inspirational start to their educational careers then they will run with confidence, purpose and enjoyment in who they are and what they achieve! We aim to give them this very special start by creating a child centered learning environment that encourages and inspires children to explore, learn and achieve. This is supported by our school size as there is a real sense of community; we all know all of the children by name. Our rich, creative, thought provoking and enquiry based curriculum, delivered within a highly nurturing environment, is designed to equip our children with the qualities that will enable them to be successful lifelong learners.

Of course, parents and carers play a vital part in our school life and I welcome you to our school.
