Hertford Infant & Nursery School Development Plan

All schools have a clearly stated set of goals. Everyone in the school needs to understand what's expected of them and what the school wants to achieve for all of its pupils.

This shared sense of direction is articulated into a School Development Plan (SDP). There are key goals outlined following the headings of the Ofsted framework for education:

Leadership and Management;Teaching and Learning; Outcomes; Behaviour , Welfare and Safety.

The objectives set will be monitored throughout the year to ensure that there is progress. A great strategy without delivery is a waste of time. As Winston Churchill reminds us: However beautiful the strategy, one should occasionally look at the result' School leaders, staff and Governors have robust systems in place to ensure that the SDP is being implemented and that there is a n impact on outcomes for pupils.
