Home Learning for Nursery

Spending time together as a family and staying safe, happy and healthy is what is imporant for the Ducklings right now.

The weekly home learning grids provide ideas of ways to keep them busy and active at home, but these are not compulsory. Please see this week's grid and videos below, they are also avaible on Tapestry.

Home Learning for Nursery children will be sent home via Tapestry. The Early Years team will be posting regular activities in the 'activities' section of Tapestry. There are also a number of useful documents available in the 'documents' section of Tapestry. Don't forget you can share your learning on Tapestry too. You will need to use the Tapestry website rather than the app. The grids and videos for this week are also below.

13.07.20 Moving on

This week is also focusing on moving on and transition to support the children at the end of this unusual school year. There is also a document with 50 ideas for activities to get up to over the summer holidays. There are videos to support some of the activities from the grid.

We hope you have had the chance to look at the videos of your child's new teachers, as this will support your child with the transition into Reception if they are moving up in September. If you have any questions please get in touch and feel free to share any of your children's home learning with us on Tapestry.

Thanks again for your continued support.

Proud challenge:

We are very proud of the progress you have made this year and we want you to be proud of yourself. Talk to your grown-up about some of the things you have achieved this year or challenges you have overcome. You might be proud of trying new foods or performing to a big audience in the Christmas play. Make a Proud Cloud. Cut out a cloud shape and draw or write a sentence about something you have achieved. Ducklings you could ask you grown-ups to write down one of your ideas.

Stories and songs

Rhythm and rhyme are key to early Literacy skills. Gill will be posting songs and stories for you to join in with each week. The images below also link you to lots of useful websites for singing and stories.
