Headteacher's Welcome
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Hertford Primary School family as your Headteacher. Leading such a vibrant and exceptional school is both an honor and a responsibility I feel deeplu proud of.
At Herford, our vision is to nurture every child’s unique potential and provide a well-rounded education that fosters confidence, responsibility, and a readiness for the future. By the time your child leaves us at the end of Year 6, our goal is for them to be prepared, empowered, and excited to embark on their secondary school journey as capable and thoughtful members of society.
We pride ourselves on cultivating a warm, caring, and respectful environment where children can thrive. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to help each child discover and develop their true potential and talents. As a school community, we celebrate successes big and small, ensuring that every child feels valued, supported, and proud of their achievements.
Our Curriculum is at the heart of our approach to education. Designed to inspire a love of learning, it balances rigorous academics with engaging, hands-on experiences, making lessons exciting, meaningful, and relevant for all our pupils.
As parents and carers, you are key in your child’s educational journey. Your insights, ideas, and involvement are invaluable, and we are committed to maintaining an open and approachable school culture. Regular opportunities to share your thoughts with me and the senior leadership team will ensure that your voice is heard and your input shapes our school community.
As Headteacher, I am committed to providing the best possible education for your child, fostering their growth, confidence, and success throughout their time at Hertford. Together, we will create an environment where every child can flourish.
Thank you in advance for your continued support of our school community. I am excited to witness your child’s growth and accomplishments in the years to come. Should you ever need to reach me, please do not hesitate to contact the office to arrange a meeting.
Yours sincerely,
Rachael Durneen
